MOESIA INFERIOR, Marcianopolis. Severus Alexander, with Julia Mamaea. AD 222-235. Æ Pentassarion (28mm, 11.51 g, 7h). Umbrius Tereventinus, legatus consularis. Struck circa AD 225-229. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander right vis-à-vis draped bust of Julia Mamaea, wearing stephane left / Hera standing facing, head left, holding patera over lighted altar to left and long scepter; E (mark of value) to right. H&J, Marcianopolis 6.34.3.3; RPC VI –; AMNG –; Varbanov –. Dark brown patina, minor roughness and deposits, area of flat strike. Good VF. Very rare.
